About Us

The Nordic-African Policy Center (NAPC) is dedicated to fostering democracy, human rights, and sustainable peace in East Africa. As a bridge between the Nordic region and Africa, we conduct in-depth field studies and preliminary investigations to identify the measures needed to strengthen democratic institutions and civic engagement.

Our Work in East Africa

Our field studies serve as a crucial foundation Nordic countrie’s strategic initiatives in East Africa. We focus primarily on Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, and Kenya, collaborating with local communities, policymakers, and international organizations to:

Assess the current democratic landscape and human rights conditions.

Develop strategies to enhance civic participation and policy reforms.

Our Team

𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐢 Tarabi – Chairman, NACP
Abdullahi Tarabi is the Chairman of NACP, with a strong background in organizational leadership, strategic decision-making, and community development. He has extensive experience in NGO work across Sweden and East Africa.He previously served as Secretary of Somalia-Swedish’s National League and Kista International School and Senior adviser on Africa Empowerment Network playing a key role in governance and administration, as Chairman at NACP, Tarabi leads impactful initiatives focused on advocacy, empowerment, and sustainable development.

Ahmed Abdi Hussein, NACP’s Country Manager, is a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment and civic engagement. He works to amplify young voices in political decision-making, mobilize communities, and foster inclusive dialogue, making civic engagement more impactful and transformative.

Mohamed Hassan is the Communication & Youth Talent Adviser at NACP, specializing in strategic communication and youth development. He creates opportunities for young people to develop skills, amplify their voices, and access leadership platforms. With expertise in impactful messaging and network building, he connects youth to meaningful opportunities. At NACP, he leads initiatives on youth inclusion, mentorship, and capacity building, contributing to the organization’s mission of empowerment and sustainable change.

Mohamed Farah, International Relations & Policy Adviser at NACP, specializes in diplomacy, policy development, and global partnerships. With experience in government and international organizations, he drives policy reforms and strategic alliances. At NACP, he strengthens partnerships, advises on policy frameworks, and integrates global best practices to advance sustainable governance and social development.
